Theatre Arts Students of IMSU initiated in seemingly fetish event. See photos It was like scenes from an ancient traditional Igbo festival. Yesterday was a memorable day for the year one students (2015/16 intakes)  of Imo State University Theatre Arts department who celebrated their induction and traditional initiation into the department.  The initiation and induction ceremony is required for the students to become full performing members of the association.  The day started with the inductees dressing up in white wrappers and decorated with chalks and mascara for the ladies.  All the inductees were then taken to the makeshift shrine located at the front of the department for presentation before the gods by the chief priest (Ezemuo),  the elders and the king (Igwe of ITASA).  At the presentation to the gods,  the men who wore white wrappers around the waist and were bare-chested, were slapped on the chest,  had gin spat onto their faces by the Chief priest

Former Miss Uganda weds her handsome older white lover Former Miss Uganda Aisha Salma Nassanga got married in the US over the weekend. Salma, who won the 2003/2004 Miss Uganda title and Eric tied the knots in Miami, Florida. The former beauty queen was once in a relationship with a Nigerian man whom she introduced to her parents in 2014 as the man she was in love with and wanted to marry but that didn't work out. Hillary Clinton makes history as the first ever female presidential nominee by a major party Hillary Clinton made history by becoming the first woman ever to be a major party's presidential nominee on Tuesday evening as Democratic delegates officially gave her the votes needed to win the primary election. Aisha Buhari rids Nigeria of malnutrition as she launches her "GET INVOLVED" programme The wife of the President Mrs. Aisha Buhari yesterday launched the "GET INVOLVED" component of the future assured program designed to provide solutions to problems of malnutrition among children in the country. Kano Mass Wedding: "Our priority shouldn't be facilitating mass marriages" Sen. Ben Bruce Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has reacted to the news of upcoming mass wedding in Kano State. About 10,000 Muslims women have so far registered for the ceremony, which is organised by the Hizba board in a bid to reduce the number of single women in the state. The burial of former Super Eagles captain and Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi, who died on June 8th has been slated for July 29th at his hometown, Illah in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State. According to the Delta State Commissioner for Information, Patrick Ukah who is a member of the Keshi burial committee,‎ Keshi's funeral ceremony will commence on Thursday July 28th and end on Sunday July 31st. Cristiano Ronaldo was pictured today wearing a knee brace while on holiday with his family in Ibiza and even dipped into the ocean, a sign his injury sustained in the Euro 2016 final between Portugal and France isn't as serious as first feared. Senator Dino Melaye has alleged that Senator Remi Tinubu has released N75 million to sponsor a protest against him. He made the allegation in a post on his Facebook wall this evening. He wrote; A civil rights movement, Committee for the Defence of Women's Rights, has uncovered a plan by the wife of a former governor of Lagos State and chairman, Senate Committee on Women Affairs, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu to sponsor a protest against Senator Dino Melaye this coming Wednesday in Abuja. The organisation said she has released N75 million to Lagos State APC Woman Leader, Mrs. Kemi Nelson through one of her sisters simply identified as Funlola. The National President of CDWR, Prof. Taibat Majekodunmi, made the revelation in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja. Already, the protesters have stormed Abuja and have booked for 300 rooms in many Hotels in hotels in Abuja. Black man shot in the chest 5 times at point blank by white cops (Graphic videos) On Tuesday, 37 year old father of five, Alton Sterling who sold CDs in front of a convenience store in Baton Rouge Louisiana was shot dead at point blank by two police officers who responded to a 911 call. A female called 911 to complain that there was black male standing in front of a convenience store selling CDs. She said the CD seller brandished a gun and told another man to leave the store front because he wasn't supposed to be there. Read more »
